Caucasus Medical Center is home to a Robotic Surgery Center that provides patients with high-tech, precise and minimally invasive surgical treatment. The hospital has introduced the latest-generation Toumai robotic surgical system. The system combines high-definition 3D visualization with multi-articulated instruments, allowing surgeons to work with exceptional precision in anatomically complex, reconstructive and oncological procedures.
Robotic operations are performed in urology, gynecology, general surgery and thoracic surgery. The center’s multidisciplinary team, made up of surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room nurses and surgical staff, completed multi-stage international training. This included clinical training at Leipzig University Hospital (Universitätsklinikum Leipzig) in Germany and the official program of the international training center of MedBot, the manufacturer of Toumai, in China.
Robotic surgery reduces blood loss and preserves as much healthy tissue as possible. It lowers the risk of postoperative pain and complications, and patients return to their daily lives sooner.
