Revaz Omiadze graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University. He passed the residency program in ophthalmology. Then he successfully passed the exams for the United States license and took the ECFMG certificate. For 5 years he worked in the United States, at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University Medical School. He is co-author of 8 research papers.
Since 2017, he is an official representative of the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University Hospital, in Georgia. Revaz Omiadze took his practical courses in India, at the Agra Eye Center and Research Institute. Besides, he is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) and the Association of Ophthalmologists of Georgia. Revaz Omiadze joined the team of the regional hospital in 2018. In June 2019, the President of Georgia awarded him the Medal of Honor for exemplary service and high professionalism during the performance of his duties.
