Surgery on the tear ducts: transnasal dacryocystorhinostomy (connecting the lacrimal sac to the nasal cavity); dacryocystectomy (excision of the lacrimal sac);
Reconstructive surgery of the eyelids: Removal of the fibrous cartilage and skin of the eyelid due to the eyelid turning outwards, i.e. ectropion; combined correction of entropion (eyelid turned inwards); plastic surgery of the eyelids;
Evisceration (removal of parts of the eye - keeping the eye frame) and enucleation (removal of the whole eye);
Dissection of chalazion (chronic inflammation of the sebaceous glands of the eyelid).

In order to timely detect the disease and plan further treatment, it is recommended to undergo an ophthalmological consultation and an instrumental examination from the age of 0. In order to prevent vision impairment, it is recommended that individuals undergo an annual ophthalmological examination, even in the absence of any symptoms.

Furthermore, there exists a range of symptoms that necessitate medical consultation, including:

Blurring/deterioration of vision;
Eye pain, foreign body sensation in the eye;
Eye injury;
