Cardiologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor Sopio Tsikarishvili joined the Caucasus Medical Center team in 2018. She successfully leads the Cardiology Department while continuing her practical medical activities.
In addition to cardiology, she is also a licensed general practitioner.
With 20 years of experience in the field, she has participated in numerous internationally recognized foreign programs. For example, in 2016, she earned a certificate for completing the “Fundamentals of Adult Critical Care” program, supported by the Mayo Clinic in the United States.
Regarding her scientific and academic work, she is the author of approximately 15 scientific publications. She is also actively involved in the educational formation of future doctors. Specifically, Professor Sopio Tsikarishvili is a cardiology instructor in the "Vian" residency program and serves as the local (Caucasus Medical Center) program director.
Due to her extensive and successful medical practice, she is an active member of the "Vian" Medical Expert Council for Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Sopio Tsikarishvili treats an average of 500–600 outpatients per year. Together with a highly qualified team and utilizing the hospital’s advanced technical resources, she provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of various cardiological conditions.
