Professor, Doctor of Medicine, and Ophthalmologist Mikheil Omiadze joined the highly qualified medical team at Caucasus Medical Center in 2018 and currently serves as the Head of the Ophthalmology Center.
In addition to his extensive experience as an independent ophthalmologist, he has completed numerous preparatory courses and gained medical practice at leading Western clinics.
He is also actively engaged in scientific and research fields, frequently attending and participating in international conferences, staying up to date with, and implementing modern diagnostic and treatment methods.
Furthermore, his work includes involvement in the education of future doctors and medical personnel. He is the Head of the Ophthalmology Faculty at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).
Due to his productive medical career, he is a member of several international organizations, including the American Eye Surgery Expedition "SEE" since 1999, the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 2003, the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) since 2006, and the European Society of Ophthalmology as well as the Georgian Ophthalmological Association since 2008.
Professor Mikheil Omiadze performs an average of 3,000 surgeries and treats 7,000 outpatient patients annually. His expertise, along with a highly qualified team, enables him to successfully treat patients with any ophthalmological condition using the latest technologies and methods.
