Giorgi Kechkemadze

Dr. Giorgi Kechkemadze, an oncological surgeon and mammologist, joined the Caucasus Medical Center team in 2021 and has been successfully leading the Mammology Department.

He actively participates in local and international symposia and congresses, where he stays up to date with and implements modern medical approaches in his practice.

Due to his medical and scientific activities, he is a member of the following organizations:

• Active member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) since 2012;
• Member of the Georgian Young Oncologists Group since 2014;
• Member of the Georgian Association of Clinical Oncologists since 2016.

Regarding his academic work, in 2022, he was involved in the residency program for future doctors, specializing in mammology.

As a mammologist and oncological surgeon, Giorgi Kechkemadze performs an average of 140 to 200 surgeries annually and treats 1,000 to 1,200 outpatient cases. Together with the hospital's highly qualified medical staff, he offers the following services:

Outpatient Services:

• Initial consultations;
• Treatment of benign and malignant diseases;
• Core biopsy under ultrasound guidance with histomorphological and immunohistochemical analysis;
• Fine-needle biopsy with cytological analysis;
• Minimally invasive surgical procedures.

Inpatient Services:

• Surgical treatment of benign and malignant breast tumors;
• Immediate and delayed reconstructive oncoplastic surgeries;
• Intraoperative morphological and cytological express diagnostics, as well as sentinel lymph node biopsy.
