Ultrasonography is a modern diagnostic method that has been employed in the medical field for a considerable duration. It is distinguished by its speed, high accuracy, simple procedure and, most significantly, its complete safety for a patient.

The ultrasound examination is considered a first-line investigation for the diagnosis of various diseases due to the fact that no radiation is used during the process. This makes the ultrasound particularly safe for pregnant women and children.

Echocardiography – to assess the structure and function of the heart  

 

Transesophageal Echocardiography – for a more detailed assessment of the heart

 

Abdominal Ultrasound – to assess the liver, bile ducts, pancreas and other organs

Ultrasound of the Urinary Tract – to evaluate the kidneys and bladder

Ultrasonography of Serous Cavities and Membranes - to detect fluid accumulation in various serous cavities of the body. The procedure allows the assessment of the quantity and nature of the fluid.

Gynecologic Ultrasonography
