Emergency Medicine Centre

 

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Caucasus Medical Centre provides management of acute, life-threatening and emergency medical conditions. Most importantly, the Department has the largest number of hospital beds in Georgia and is equipped with all the necessary diagnostic and monitoring equipment. A highly qualified team with experience in Western healthcare ensures the effective management of emergency situations.

 

In the Department of Emergency Medicine, the following are carried out in accordance with international guidelines:

 

  • Management of traumatic injuries;
  • Management of cardiovascular pathologies;
  • Management of respiratory pathologies;
  • Management of neurological pathologies;
  • Management of abdominal pathologies;
  • Management of endocrine pathologies;
  • Management of infectious diseases;
  • Management of allergic reactions;
  • Management of surgical pathologies;
  • Management of toxic conditions, etc.

 

The following types of procedures and interventions are performed in the Department:

  • Intubation
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Defibrillation (restoring normal heart rhythm, stopping fibrillation);
  • Wound care;
  • Fixing fractures, etc.

 

It should be noted that the hospital combines all the resources in one place and, in addition to the material and technical base and the highly qualified team of the Department, it ensures the involvement of a specialist in the management of the patient, depending on the needs of the patient.

 

In addition, the Emergency Department is characterised by its innovative layout, in which each patient is accommodated in a ward that is equipped with modern standards. The individual ward creates a comfortable environment for patients and allows them to be surrounded by family members from the first minutes of their hospitalisation.
