Biography

 

Dr. Otar Dikhaminjia, a toxicologist, joined the experienced and highly qualified medical team at the Caucasus Medical Center in 2018 and currently leads the Emergency Medicine Department.

 

In addition to clinical toxicology, he is also a licensed emergency medicine doctor and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Georgia’s School of Medicine.

 

He has gained international experience through participation in significant programs, including the joint emergency medicine residency program between Emory University and Tbilisi State Medical University. Since 2024, he has been a student in Emory University’s (Atlanta, USA) international clinical toxicology training program.

 

Beyond continuous professional development, he has played an active role in organizing medical events. He was the organizer of the 2023-2024 Annual Conferences on Acute Poisonings and Trauma (a collaboration between Emory University and the Caucasus Medical Center) and a speaker at the 2022 Annual International Conference organized by the international toxicologists' association, Menatox.

 

Additionally, as a lecturer, Dr. Otar Dikhaminjia is actively involved in the educational development of future doctors and medical personnel.
