Sulkhan Lominadze graduated from the faculty of medicine of Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1996. In 2006, he successfully passed internship training in cardiac surgery at the Medical Skills Institute and in 2007 received the degree of the Doctor of Medicine (PHD). He is the Head of the Cardiac Surgery Department and Clinical Director of the Caucasus Medical Center since 2018.
Sulkhan Lominadze took retraining courses first in Berlin, at the German Heart Center (DHZB), then in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Medical Center La Tour. He successfully went through the course of internship at the Israeli medical center Shaare Zedek.
Sulkhan Lominadze is an author and co-author of 20 scientific papers. He is also a researcher in two clinical trials of the third phase. Sulkhan Lominadze's team has conducted 4251 surgical operations, 73.5% of which are related to shunting. The operations also include Bentall procedures, replacement of aortic valve and ascending aorta, surgical interventions in case of congenital anomalies, etc.
