Maia Ananiashvili

Maia Ananiashvili – an experienced hematologist and bone marrow transplantation specialist, is the head of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Center at Caucasus Medical Center. Maia joined Caucasus Medical Center in 2023 and is actively engaged in clinical and academic activities, based on advanced international experience.

She received her medical education at Tbilisi State Medical University, where she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 2005. In 2012, she obtained a state certification in hematology, onco-hematology, and transfusiology. To deepen her professional qualifications, she has participated in numerous international training programs, including: theoretical and practical courses in hematology and blood coagulation at the University of Ferrara, Italy, in 2016; bone marrow transplantation training at Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria in Verona in 2019; and training at Max Super Specialty Hospital in India in 2023.

Maia Ananiashvili actively participates in international medical conferences and is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Hematology Association (EHA), the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), and the "Women in Lymphoma" committee.

Her professional activities encompass clinical, scientific, and educational fields. She is an invited lecturer at Caucasus International University and the University of Georgia. Maia has participated in numerous international congresses and conferences, including the ESMO Congress held in Munich in 2018. In 2021-2022, she completed a specialized qualification program in lymphoma and received the Certificate of Competence in Lymphoma (CCL5).

In her clinical practice, Maia Ananiashvili places special emphasis on the development of bone marrow transplantation and innovative treatment methods. Her goal is to provide patients with the highest quality hematological care by implementing modern international standards.
