Biography

 

Dr. Mirza Khinikadze, Neurosurgeon, Professor, joined the team of highly qualified doctors at the Caucasus Medical Center in 2018.

 


He has extensive international and local experience in the field, along with years of professional expertise. Since 1999, he has actively participated in various neurosurgical training programs worldwide, such as "New Devices in Neurointerventional Radiology: Latest Technologies, Progress, and Pitfalls" (2016, Madrid). Additionally, he frequently participates in international conferences, congresses, and symposia, where he discusses the effectiveness of neurosurgical diagnostic and treatment methods, current aspects of clinical angioneurology, and more. He also co-organized the “Vascular Experts 2023” event with the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.

 


In his scientific and academic activities, he has published 46 articles in foreign scientific journals and leads three accredited programs. He is also the Vice Rector of New Vision University and is involved in the educational process of future medical personnel. Since 2016, he has conducted four training courses in endovascular neurosurgery at "Viani" (formerly "Evex").


Due to his active medical, scientific, and academic work, he holds the following positions:

 

  • Member of the Professional Development Council of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia
  • Expert Neurosurgeon at the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia
  • Member of the Working Group on the Development of Health Care, Personnel Certification/Recertification, Continuing Medical Education, and Professional Development Policies
  • Member of the Stroke Coordination Council approved by the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia

 

Dr. Mirza Khinikadze serves an average of 350-400 outpatient patients annually and performs 150-170 surgeries. He offers the following services:

 

  • Treatment of cerebrovascular pathologies of the brain and spinal cord, both endovascularly and through open surgery
  • Endovascular treatment of ischemic stroke
  • Management of brain and spinal cord tumors
  • Management of degenerative spine diseases, and more.
