Dr. Giorgi Gogitidze, Traumatologist-Orthopedist, joined the team of highly qualified doctors at the Caucasus Medical Center in 2018 and has successfully led the Traumatology/Orthopedics Department.

 

In addition to orthopedics-traumatology, he is licensed in arthroscopic surgery. Furthermore, in this field (arthroscopy), he completed a training course in Istanbul and a workshop in Munich. His international experience in traumatology includes various educational programs, such as: a course on primary and secondary hip and knee joint endoprostheses (Bulgaria); a course on complex fractures of the knee and hip (Madrid), and more.

 

He actively participates in international conferences and congresses, attends significant webinars, and, due to his professional activities, is a member of the following organizations:

 

  • Georgian Traumatologists' Association
  • AO FOUNDATION
  • AAOS - American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
  • SICOT - International Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology

 

Dr. Giorgi Gogitidze serves an average of 1500-1600 outpatient patients annually and performs 300-350 surgical treatments. He offers the following services:

 

  • Surgical and non-surgical treatment of various bone and joint injuries
  • Primary and secondary endoprostheses of large joints with modern approaches and implants
  • Treatment of all types and complexities of acute fractures with modern methods and implants (osteosynthesis with minimally invasive techniques)
  • Sports medicine: arthroscopic minimally invasive surgeries on the knee and ankle joints
  • Reconstructive orthopedics: surgical treatment of healed fractures, limb lengthening, and surgical treatment of complicated and residual cases of fractures.
