The World Journal of Neuroscience (SCIRP) reported on the medical success of Georgian neurosurgeons.

An article about the medical work of Georgian neurosurgeons, their practical activities and success was published in the World Journal of Neurosciences (SCIRP). The author of the publication is professor Mirza Khinikadze, a neurosurgeon of the Caucasus Medical Center. The co-authors are Vladimir Tsikarishvili, the head of the neurosurgery department of the Caucasus Medical Center, Koka Gogichaishvili, a neurosurgery resident, and Lana Bokuchava, a professor at the New Vision University Hospital. It is on their practical activities and results that the article is based, which directly refers to the endovascular treatment of aneurysms in the period of subarachnoid hemorrhages and describes in detail the medical history and positive outcome of 137 patients.

As the authors of the article explain, subarachnoid hemorrhages are mostly determined by the structure of the aneurysm. The outcome largely depends on early diagnosis and treatment of ruptured aneurysms. The publication describes the surgical treatment of aneurysmal subarachnoid inclusions in severe, moderate or relatively mild forms, their complications and a positive outcome, which is fully consistent with international statistics. The article also states that 80% of 137 patients underwent endovascular surgery within the first 12 hours of disease onset.

In addition, the article emphasizes that the Evex hospital network was one of the first in the country to implement combined methods of treatment of all types of vascular pathology (aneurysm clipping, endovascular coiling) since 2016. Neurosurgical operations of this type are performed at the network West Georgia Medical Center, Batumi Referral Hospital and Caucasus Medical Center, where the service is fully available.
