Gynecologist, oncogynecologist Archil Sharashenidze heads the oncology department of the Caucasus Medical Center. Under his guidance, complex operations are performed both laparoscopically and open. Patients are managed in accordance with world-accepted best practices. Archil Sharashenidze takes an active part in the national screening process at the clinic. The oncology team offers the following services:
Laparoscopic or laparotomic extirpation of the uterus, with resection of the bladder and regional lympho-dissection (according to the pathology)
Laparoscopic or laparotomic extirpation of the uterus with/without appendages
Laparoscopic or laparotomic radical hysterectomy (Wertheim-Meigs operation)
Laparoscopic and laparotomic para-aortic and small pelvic lymphodissection
