Nikoloz Vashakmadze received his medical degree from Tbilisi State Medical University and continued his education at the University of Cologne in Germany. He completed his post-graduate studies in the field of cardiac surgery at leading clinics in Germany and earned a European certificate.
Mr. Vashakmadze worked as a cardiac surgeon at the Heart Center Bad Krozingen in Germany from 2003 to 2005, and then at the University Hospitals of the Ruhr-University of Bochum, Heart and Diabetes Center North Rhine Westphalia, and finally at the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Center at University Hospital Oldenburg.
He has been the director of the West Georgia Heart Centre since 2014. Nikoloz Vashakmadze also directs the Evex Hospitals Cardiac Surgery Residency Program and serves on the Network's Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Interventional Cardiology Medical Expert Council. Nikoloz Vashakmadze conducts scientific and educational activities in addition to clinical activities. He is the founder and head of the exchange program for medical students in Germany. Mr. Nikoloz Vashakmadze holds the honorary degree from the Tbilisi State Medical University.
